Extra-slow vegetable leather, black

Our vegetable-cured full-grain leather is a result of 12 months of natural tanning, which enables the marriage of two seeming  opposites, suppleness and solidity. A must for luxury saddlery, this full-grain hide is also our choice for leather goods and belts where its natural feel and the patina that develops make for a leather that is as special as it is rare.

We have chosen a legendary French vegetable tannery, one of the few to have mastered the extra-slow tanning of this unique leather.

Coming from a long tradition, this tannery has preserved a unique artisanal know-how, transmitted and improved from generation to generation.

Vegetable-tanned leather is produced using natural ingredients such as tree bark, leaves and pure water. Needless to say, this calls for a deep understanding of the various seasons for natural tannins.

Extra-slow vegetable tanning lasts 12 months, and only this process allows the natural leather fibers to tighten slowly without losing quality, thus preserving the natural flexibility of the hide. This is critical for luxury leathers, which call for both suppleness and solidity.

Extra-slow vegetable-tanned full-grain leather is smooth and acquires a patina with the passing of time.
