The Guibert saddle is made in Saumur from extra-slow vegetable leather and natural calf leather, both full-grain and tanned in France.
It has been designed and produced specially by our saddlery in collaboration with the Saumurois saddler Fréderic Butet. It possesses a saddletree in beech for suppleness and robustness, and in steel to guarantee solidity. It is a mixed saddle oriented to jumping with specific technical qualities allowing it to be perfect for both obstacles as well as on the flat or exterior. Being comfortable, it gives a sensation of closeness and balance. The seat of the saddle AP allows both a freedom of movement as well as a solid support for the pelvis.
Panels supporting the saddle are made to measure to ensure a perfect spread of the rider’s weight to reduce any pressure points on the horse’s back. This improves the comfort for both rider and horse and would hope to improve performance.
The thread used is of high resistance, made in Germany. The weave of 26 threads, stabilised at 180°, offers both solidity and a special brilliance, giving a special sparkle to the saddler’s stitching. This stitching is also used for our bridles, belts and dog collars.
