The Atherstone halter was designed with Olivier Lepage, a former vet for the French equestrian team, to improve the comfort of the horse. The large, rounded form of the headpiece and noseband spreads the weight over a larger area thus avoiding any unnecessary stress. It is manufactured by craftsmen using extra-slow vegetable leather lined with natural calf leather. These leathers originate from two French tanners known worldwide for luxury leather.

The extra-slow vegetable leather is tanned by craftsmen over a 12-month period and is the only one, thanks to the slowness of the process, to bring together two qualities normally opposed but necessary for the horse : suppleness and strength.

The natural lined leather has been chosen for the softness and comfort it brings to the horse.

These two leathers achieve a patina with time.
